Hi, I'm Takudzwa Mvere. I got into tech out of genuine curiosity about the web, spending hours exploring systems other people built until I couldn't resist figuring out how to build them myself.

I studied Computer Systems Engineering at Midlands State University (2.1 Honours). Since then, I've built full-stack platforms end to end: writing Django and FastAPI backends, structuring clean databases, building dynamic frontends in Next.js and TypeScript, and orchestrating deployments with Docker and Dokploy on self-managed Linux servers.

Security isn't an afterthought in how I build; it's a foundation. I design with authentication and access control in mind from day one, whether that's locking down JWT workflows, scoping role-based permissions, or safeguarding payment pipelines. I put that thinking to the test directly, running structured vulnerability assessments and digging into how web applications break before anything vulnerable ever hits production.

That instinct didn't come from code alone. During my industrial attachment, I worked hands-on with enterprise networking, firewalls, biometric access control, and CCTV systems: real-world infrastructure that has to hold up under live conditions. It's why I approach software defensively: not just asking "does it work?", but "what happens when someone tries to make it fail?"

Day to day, I'm maintaining production systems and shipping new ones, still driven by the same thing that got me started: understanding how things are built under the hood, and building them better.
